I believe the only sane argument against wearing purple tomorrow would be that it's not solely a tragedy when gay people commit suicide, it's a tragedy when anyone does it, and therefore the remembrance belongs with those who committed suicide in general, not only gays who committed suicide.

why must people always try to turn something that should be positive into a negative
When the positive is misplaced, ie "Wear a day to commemorate those who martyred themselves for Allah and killed citizens of the Great Satan on 9/11," it should not be treated as one. Granted, my example is completely ridiculous, but this day is completely missing the bigger picture. People committing suicide is not a phenomenon only seen in gay people.
yeah but i could be mistaken...but isn't it cause off all the bullying and mistreating of gays a big reason why people are wearing purple?...i see nothing wrong with that

I see no reason why we have to promote the idea that homosexuals are different from heterosexuals and give them a different day for their suicides.
i believe the message is supposed to be to stop bullying...not just against gays...there just being used as an example cause of the recent tragedy's...tomorrow is actually National bullying prevention day according to facebook...telling everyone to wear pink for it
