Its almost like lockdown and social distancing is helping.
The lockdown and social distancing was to “slow the spread”, not change the percentages of death rates. That’s not how statistics work, but I know you know that Rex (not being sarcastic). Yes if we’d not social distanced or locked down then those numbers would have higher but in the same percentage you see in that graph... with the only wrinkle factor being hospital capacity
we jee hearing reports that we have “passed our peak”.
1. we can create a new peak.
2. My GF works in the ICU. This week has been their worst week for covid patients since the start. They actually had to open a new floor today because they were taking on so many new patients. 45 minutes east of here in grand rapids the numbers hospitalized is also up.
We really should be prepared for a stronger wave in the fall. We need to prepare now, so that we dont end up with another month like march in the fall.
we need to have abetter plan for it now. We need to have PPE and plans for public schooling in place.
Even with the low death rates, its still about 10x deadlier the the common flu, and we dont have any built up immunity, so its most likely going to get worse if we continue to rush opening things.
The Spanish flu was about 2x as deadly as covid, and the real death numbers didn’t happen with the first wave. It wasnt until the second wave, a few months after social distancing was lifted, that we really hit the peak in europe/NA.

Which one is it Gary? Is Trump a very stable genius who is leading this country well, or is he leading some shadow government that cant be trusted and is overstating the covid problem to control us?
