HOLY FUCK THE MANDALORIAN WAS LIT. I'm seriously obsessed. We got more world building and lore in 40 minutes than all of Disneywars combined. And that ending though. Jobe should add spoiler tag in the title so we can talk details.
Was that who I think it was at the end? It has to be right? We've only ever seen two of those creatures in the history of SW, and one was a blink and you miss it appearance in the prequels that didn't count for shit. If so, I wasn't expecting that definitive of a timeline to start. If it's a different creature of the same species then that's also a whole new line of possibilities. At this point I assume we know who it is, but that's not definite yet. Out of everything I was expecting, that ending was nowhere on my radar.
Yeah its definitely a new character like Jobe said its 5 years after ROTJ. Is the baby Yoda's child or relative? Is it force sensitive? Why do they want it dead?
I loved everyone about episode one. The stormtroopers working for the mobster after the fall of the empire, the different aliens we see in the pub, the giant walrus thing under the ice, IG88 being a fucking badass but also hilarious. Even the little things like these annoying fucks being cooked on a spitroast
Between this, Wu Tang - An American Saga and The Watchmen, it been a weird throwback watching shows an episode a week instead of bringing them all at once.
As much as the lazy POS in me loves to waste a weekend binging a series, its honestly so much bettet releasing it weekly. Look at our discussions here for shit like Stranger Things, Daredevil, and House of Cards. It doesn't go much deeper than "it was good" and talking about the highlights. Speculation is like half the fun with tv and binging loses that
For sure. Look how big a show Lost was when it was on. Everyone getting together to plot out their theories week after week is what made the show what it was. That show wouldn't have had nearly the same impact if you could binge it all at once like you can now. Some shows just play out better when everything is allowed to breath and mysteries hang around for a week at a time instead of just resolving them 5 minutes into the next episode. That final reveal was definitely one of them. The weekly discussion (and memes) for this is gonna be lit. It's also gonna hopefully take the sting out of the next movie being the crusty end loaf of a turd sandwich.

I need more!

What a fantastic start.
But no jobe that's not who that is. It's new one and we finally get the name of the species in this series. I'm hyped as fuck.
Looked up the timeline and we are 5 years post ROTJ, so that's definitely someone new.
