I don't think Disney is really gonna be fucking with any lore or EU stuff. I think the goal here is to keep it close to the heart of Star Wars but simple enough for new people to just pick up the franchise. Would be cool tho.
It kinda makes sense tho. Snoke is claimed to be an ancient vampiric being that has lived in more than a single form. Like I said, I don't think they'd actually make it that, just a hopeful thought.

That's your opinion anyway. I mean they just had Ron Howard take over and almost completely re-shoot an entire fucking movie because they didn't like how it was going, but whatever. Cool, we get it. You don't like things. Now you can go be a wet blanket somewhere else.
If they didn't care about shit they would have pushed it through. They felt it was too much of a comedy buddy movie and it didn't suit the overall tone of a universe and franchise that they clearly give a shit about. That's why they spent extra money to fix it.
Yet another example of you making your mind up about shit and then only looking at things that fit your pre-determined conclusions about them.
You know what I think, MC? And this isn’t knocking you. But I feel like you’re having a hard time reconciling the fact that the shit you liked as a kid was mostly commercial crap. All of us go through it. I liked a ton of really stupid shit when I was little that I cringe at now. Dukes of Hazard immediately comes to mind. He-Man, too. GI Joe was pretty much just Reagan-era propaganda. I used to love The A-Team, but when I watch it now I feel stupider afterward. You cling on to stuff like the Star Wars prequels and Power Rangers and old Ninja Turtles movies and feel like the modern versions are crass commercialism, but is there really a difference? I don’t think so. I think it’s always been this way and you’re just viewing the new stuff through adult eyes.
The 2 new Star Wars movies have chicks as main protagonists.
I mean there is a definite feminist push in StarWars right now. The new movies, cartoons, comics, and Battle Front 2 all have female leads. Coincidence, I think not.

Nah theyre just poorly written. I still like the TMNT comics and cartoons coming out. Just Bay's shit sucked. Same with Power Rangers, I collect the new comics (at least the vs Justice League ones), and think the new season costumes look awesome. I just didnt like how the new movie looked.
Same goes for StarWars. Its just a nostalgia train. If they really wanted to impress fans and sell more toys, they wouldnt have come up with all original ideas instead of rehashing the same technology, and same plots from Episode 4 over and over.
They didnt just rehash the Deathstar, and Episode 4, and same space ships ad naseum. Why. The. Fuck. Are. They. Still. Using. Tie. Fighters. And. X. Wings?

I hate to break it to you, but old Power Rangers is some of the most retarded shit ever. I know you grew up with it, but I didn’t and I’ve always thought it was vapid. The old Ninja Turtles movies weren’t much better. We’re talking about a franchise that’s peak film included a Vanilla Ice musical number. If any of that shit came out now, you would likely either ignore it or hate it

Power Rangers is like getting a new kung fu and kaiju flick every week. I love the campiness of it. The rubber suit monsters. The over the top fighting.
Ssme thing with the original Turtles. I love the suits and the fight scenes and the camp of it. The first TMNT is still my favorite comic book movie of all time. I watch it at least once a year

Every story is a rip off.

Star Wars is just another Hero's Journey monomyth.
