360 was the best time for Xbox when it came to exclusives and being competitive against Sony for that. They had a lot of good games and decent first party studios. When they shit the bed with Xbox 1 they kind just didn’t recover from that and tried to be this all in one multimedia machine and put games second which was a big mistake for them. They did recover the 2nd half of its cycle life and bought some real good studios to get ready for series X.
They didnt really have much for the 360 either. Just people really liked em. They had... Halo, Gears, Fable, and...?
Forza, Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Bioshock, crackdown, viva piñata, Alan Wake,Left 4 Dead, and a lot of JRPGs and so on. They had great exclusives at the time even if some went to PS3 but that was close to end of that console cycle

All of those except Forza were multiplat, so does that even count?
Bigger and better tech aspects don’t necessarily translate to sales though. Look at the Switch out here killing it. The biggest reason I’m hyped for the PS5 is for all the old retro games I want to play again.
I mean sure but the majority of multiplat releases also suck. If you look at the highest rated games of this console generation there are a ton of Switch or ps4 or pc exclusives. Xbox has Forza.
My main thing is that Microsoft is literally giving essentially no incentive to upgrade. They said that all Xbox games that drop once the XSX comes out will be jus that, XBOX games and not XSX games because they will all play on the One, the XSX, and PC. So what incentive is there to buy one if you already have a One? And especially in my case, a One X. Graphics? Because it will only be slightly prettier on the XSX, especially considering that games will basically be designed as multi platform and still have to be able to be handled by the One. So they can’t make some next level ass shit that the One can’t handle, so they can’t truly move forward. You won’t be fucked out of playing XSX games even if you don’t have an XSX, and there’s not that much of a graphical leap to the point that it’s worth $500. And at that rate, graphics are your ONLY selling point. So most people will opt to jus play the slightly uglier version on their One instead.
You can’t still play PS5 games on a PS4, otherwise PS5s wouldn’t sell. So why does this console exist?

None of them except Left 4 Dead were multiplatform until years later

One of which is Flight Simulator and the other is a remaster of Xbox and Xbox 360 games lmao.
