So far the only Arkham game I haven't played. May start it tonight. I originally played it for like an hour or two before I got busy and never came back to it but I remember enjoying it.
I read that they are going to put a lot of the online content as far as cars and wardrobe into the single player though too. The map/driving is legit so ill play it again probably.
Iron Man VR is gas. At first was kinda iffy, mainly because of controls being wonky, but that comes down to the fact that the game didn’t explain whatsoever that to steer while flying, you need to turn your actual head. Once I figured that out second hand online, game got so much better. It’s still not as responsive as it needs to be for such a fast paced game, but some of the firefights are fucking incredible. Had me nosediving on a tank off the top of a skyscraper and gave that roller coaster feeling in my stomach. First VR game to do that. Bout as close to feeling like you’re flying as you can get without actually doing it.
Naw I understand what Rex is saying tho. As it stands, VR is still a very fun and unique experience, but it IS untapped potential as of rn. Never tracks quite as well as it should, hence why you see so many glitch compilations of hand physics going apeshit lmao. Plus graphics are forced to take a dip in VR. And so I wouldn’t at all say that VR currently isn’t worth it, but it is in ways in a beta type of stage. In 5-10 years it should be more on par, including going fully wireless.
Beating the hi-score on the basketball arcade machine in Tony Stark’s house was way harder than it should have been because of the tracking but I managed to pull it off lmao.

PS VR is decent but it doesn’t compare to Oculus. The PS doesn’t have the horsepower needed to really deliver a smooth experience and Oculus has better controls as far as push/pull/grab/twist/turning with the hands. The overall VR experience is more immersive. After a week or two of PSVR it sat mostly unused by the kids. They grew bored of it quickly. Not sure how long we have had it now, maybe a year or so now, but the Oculus is still getting used almost daily.
We may not be living in ready player one just yet, but the gaming experiences are great right now. Why wait 10 years to jump in when you can ride the wave right now? Costs less than a couple of Tool tickets. Life sized Minecraft will blow the minds of young kids. Walk with dinosaurs. Battle Vader in lightsaber combat. Fly through space. Go see the ocean. Visit Gotham. Stand on the buildings and look down. Travel the world. It’s fucking great.
We keep it in the dining room so I can’t rate the porn experience lol. I’m sure it’s good.
Too expensive. Games are all tech demos or nerfed versions of real games. Controls are horrible. Too niche, and causes bad motion sickness in a lot of people.
VR had a lot of potential, but its not something appealing to the average gamer. Its a gimmick like motion control was.
What VR have you used MC? What’s your point of reference for saying the controls are horrible? Do you have first hand experience? What’s you coolest VR experience been?
Also, the motion sickness goes away when you up the frame rate.

I used it at a con a few years back. Occulus. I went through a tech demo, a horror game, and a music video. The music video was cool, but definitely a niche thing.
I cant afford VR, so I dont have it myself.
But Ive watched many reviews for VR games and they all just look so wonky. The teleport control scheme is really lame, and most actual games dont work properly with traditional controls.
I cant imagine it ever catching on in the mainstream or it becoming the norm. Even Half-Life had people like "meh" and already creating mods to play it without VR.
Who was meh for half life? Modding it for non VR makes sense for those without, but the reviews for that game are overwhelming positive. 10/10 on Steam with 30,000 reviews. You’re talking out of your ass again.
That’s totally different than people being “meh” about it like you said. You keep changing your argument against it because, in the end, you can’t afford it. I didn’t say it was affordable or that it’s for all gamers. Erik enjoyed a game. Rex made a comment about waiting 10 years. I said it’s being done well right now. You’re stomping through the middle of someone else’s conversation like a toddler saying “it’s not good. I don’t have money”
Ok you told us. Now go sit down in your folding chair and let the adults talk and share real opinions.
Your financial situation doesn’t dictate where the state of VR technology is at for the rest of the world. The tech itself isn’t even that expensive, it’s on par with any other console price, the real expense is the prerequisite hardware. If you already have a decent gaming computer then it’s not a big leap.
