I requested help thru the state, trying to use some of what Obama passed to help with medical expenses and my mortgage. Keep in mind my son is 4 and need extra medical help. Denied on everything for 2 reasons: 1, i make too much money and 2, my son doesn't have the correct imigration status!. this means if he was illegal, he would get insurance, but becuase he was born in the US, he doesn't! Bullshit!
That's insanely outrageous. Very sorry to hear that.
when You think about the placement of the mosque, by people flipping out and demanding it be moved away, aren't we just proving what these extremists believe us to be? closed minded, ignorant assholes? Thats just one way to look at it.
Maybe we aren't the great melting pot we claim to be yet after-all. I mean, I think the greatest thing we could do in the situation would let it go, and prove that we haven't strayed from our nations roots, being a country of freedom and equality in all respects.
it's not actually a mosque... it's an Islamic community center.
they showed the design in its developmental stages; and it looked amazing. (whether or not that is the final design is up to them) but the one they did show; i personally liked.
If the people building this really thought it was going to be a building to spread peace and faith then they wouldn't build it at ground zero to begin with. I have no problem with any races or religions so I have no problem with mosques in the city but at ground zero? That's just going to create more pain and suffering for the families and friends of those who died on 9/11 than peace it would create
2 blocks from it, is that good enough for you? 2 blocks is too close and again I say If the people building this really thought it was going to be a building to spread peace and faith then they wouldn't build it at ground zero to begin with.
That makes no absolutely no sense. So what if the center was built 2 blocks from ground zero, or 20 blocks? What does the location have to do with how effective the building will be?
Obviously it's too close to where Muslim extremists killed thousands of Americans. For this location has everything to do with it. Idk why that's so hard to understand
As a Christian it's like me going and burning down the city of Mecca in the name of God, then building a church right next to the scene. It's disrespectful and definitely does not spread peace, only more hate

This location has nothing to do with it. The people who are building this center had nothing to do with 9/11. The owners of the building had nothing to do with 9/11. The people who are going to use this center had nothing to do with 9/11. Just because the people involved with 9/11 had a certain religion doesnt mean that others who share the religion deserve to be persecuted for the rest of time.

Ok, so every Christian has to suffer for one person's idiocy? Not to mention that the majority of Christians are normal, hard working people. But no, because a few people decided to murder in the name of god, anyone associated with that religion now has a target on their back. The only people who are spreading more hate are the simple minded people who cant see past their own distorted image of Islam.
*sigh* It's not all Muslims obviously it was the Muslim extremists. I have Muslim friends so don't think I'm prejudiced. I just think that building a Muslim temple right near where the towers were is too close for comfort. It's obviously created much more pain than peace so if they really wanted to create peace they would move it somewhere else. They do not have any respect for the families of those who died because if they did, again, they would move the mosque somewhere else

just goes to show you how little it takes for dimwits to fuel their hatred; even with ONLY lies.
