The only companies that can't afford it are the smaller ones, and the bill included several amendments resolving the issue.

I agree with Shane. I think it's a good idea, but it does need some corrections. My mom and my sister don't have health care, so I'm kind of happy about it passing.

    From Ape,

"Massive debt, not enough doctors, hospitals getting over run, going to take longer to get in in an emergency, the people in the end pay for all this meaning me and you, good short term
plan bad long term. We have more problems in this country to deal with right now and putting the country further in the hole does not help one bit. I'm a democrat and I dot
    agree with this shit.

Here's an example of government ruining business. United states postal
service. While they say they are not apart of goverent they get paid by the treasury giving governent some control. The united states postal service has been in debt the past couple years and by the end of this year it's expected to
be 8-10 billion in the hole. Now look at other shipping companies that don't have govenment involvement fedex, ups, dhl. They are not suffering like usps.

If you think I'm part of the problem so be it. Talk to me down the road when it becomes very clear to everyone this was a bad idea.

Oo and Shane you shouldn't be bitching about healthcare with all the concerts you go to you can afford healthcare you just have to know when to sacrifice. "

plus there's lazy people out there who just don't want to pay for health care so they decide to wait until this bill is passed then boom we're paying for their laziness

It's unconstitutional to force people to have healthcare. Goodby democracy, it was nice to know you.

I'll start with what issues I agree with. Yes, we do have other things to work on. I would have liked to see this issue be worked out after we don't have kids being retarded in school, soldiers dying in the Middle East, and have this economic problem. The massive debt is probably the largest problem with this plan. Large debt means higher taxes, which means angry people.

However, this is a moral issue. If you truly believe in the capitalist mindset enough to deny a dying man health care, then I don't know what to say to you. The hospital point is an interesting one, but I think the answer is simple. Build the infrastructure. Become efficient in the medical system, build more hospitals, digitize medical records, and use newer technologies. It seems like a spend money, spend money, spend money solution, but I think this could work out well for America in the long term...if executed correctly.

    yup to Bianca
although there can't really be true democracy because we do have to have limitations and restrictions on some things, we were doing well until NObama ruined everything

No one is forcing you to go to the hospital, it's implied when you get put in an ambulance you want to live. Then we could talk about euthanasia, which is a whole other issue.

Well, it will create more jobs because more hospitals will be opening to fit all of these people. It's not free either, it's like car insurance, it's illegal not to have it. Also, if your household's combined income is below $80,000, you will recieve financial aid. And to all the people saying it's socialist, just look at socialist Canada, they hate their healthcare[/sarcasm].
