Dude like no one cares Gnomez or at the very least I don’t. What happens on your little island doesn’t much pertain to other areas. Had we done exactly what NZ did at the sane realities times, we still would have had different results

Thing that kinda bugs me on protests is a large percentage of the people that are on the front lines protesting are the same ones who were covid stay at home cheerleaders. Seems really hypocritical to me. “Stay at home!!!!! Is the economy worth killing an extra 150k people?!?!? Stay home!!!!!” And perhaps the message i should be taking from this is the economy isn’t worth killing 150k people however fighting racism is worth 150k deaths’. Which is a perfectly valid position to have, just not heard anyone say that.
Let’s shutdown a 60k public gathering to watch football because it’s dangerous however let’s gather millions in tighter areas to protest racism is perfectly safe. Nothing wrong with that because people are angry
the reason why i went to the march is because of research. I think the shutdown was appropriate, but it should not have lasted so long. Maybe 3-4 weeks, especially if we jump on it sooner. The thing is we didn’t know enough about it, so id rather we be cautious.
Now that we know the numbers and that we know you aren’t very likely to get it in an outdoor environment things should be fine.

No cases of Covid left in NZ at all.
