Ww1 deaths was about 20 million. Current world deaths for Rona are 356k. Even if you double that to account for countries under reporting that’s still no where close to WW1 deaths
What’s everyone’s opinion on wearing masks in public? Does your or state require it or no?
Here in NH it’s not required for customers to wear masks at stores but everyone who works at the stores has to wear them. If it was up to me everyone would be wearing them. I’ve dealt with a ton of people from surrounding states MA, RI, CT, NY and ME in the last week and I’d say at least 70% of those people didn’t wear masks into my store.
The biggest thing I hear with people who choose not to wear masks is “I don’t care if I get it or not. So I don’t want to wear a mask.” and in my head I’m screaming. People don’t get that most cloth masks don’t actually stop YOU from getting it but it helps prevent YOU from SPREADING it to OTHERS. So you come in to my store wearing a mask it helps me in not getting COVID 19 from you and with me wearing my mask it helps you not catch COVID 19 from me. Considering something like 80% of cases are asymptomatic so you don’t even know you have it and are spreading it.
Death is not the worst of evils.
You can't be down, when you're always high.
In my town you dont have to wear masks but they are limiting how many people can be in a building at one time. My place of work us requiring people to wear a mask it they want to come in though.
You dont have to wear them here but you do in Durham county which is like 20 minutes from me and we do a lot of work there. I went into a gas station in Durham last week without one and the cashier told me to cover my face with my shirt. I looked like a fuckin idiot trying to hold my shirt up with my nose while I was taking cash out of my wallet.
They are only allowing outside seating for restaurants here. So a bunch of restaurants that didn’t have outside seating before are putting tables outside anywhere close to their building.

NZ has now had 16 straight days of Zero new cases in a row. And we have just one active case still left! Not long now and we'll have totally wiped it out. Just dunno what we will do about border control to stop it coming back again. We cant quarantine incoming travellers for ever
