Certainly not saying that. There was some sarcasm peppered in there. Yall are the ones diving in to the research and numbers like you're going to figure something out nobody else knows.

No. Depending on your age group, you have about a 1% chance of needing ventilators. And that’s assuming you don’t believe we are under testing. If you are like me and think the number of people that have it in the USA are 100-1000 times more than the people “who have tested positive”, then stats that deal with needing ventilators, or recovering from it, or mortality rate are significantly lower then currently reported. As it stands now if you catch it you have less than a 1% chance of needing a ventilator
Now stats that would deal with recovery rate after being on a ventilator is likely very accurate because you know who needs a ventilator and who doesn’t. And if you’re going on one, shits very serious for you. I have no clue what stats are for recovery if you need ventilator but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s 50/50. That completely a guess on my part

Did some extra reading on it... below is a good link. In general if you go on a ventilator than it has a high mortality rate (like 50% but depends on age group). If you are on it for 10+ days than your chance of recovering is almost non-existent,
It was announced yesterday that someone 40-49 has it in our county, which makes it the first person. I bet it would be higher but if you want tested you have to call a number, get screened by a nurse over the phone, and be approved before getting tested. You also have to show up by yourself and whatever else they have you do
Last Friday Dr Fauchi reported that they had seen a decline in infections which was really good news. He did however say this week was going to be a really bad week because the fatality numbers trail infections by a couple weeks. This is one reason (I think) the stock market is going crazy this week.
Also you know the USA is actually doing really well in terms of deaths per million population correct? 10k is a lot but our population is pretty large
That is true. My City's county has actually been doing pretty well considering the first sick person was 4 weeks ago. We are only at 177 confirmed as of a day or two ago.
