Venom had its hands tied with legal rights bullshit and still portrayed a comic accurate reinterpretation.
Joker isnt even remotely the same character. Id be much more interested if they called it something else.
Okay now you jus lost absolutely all credibility. Venom is comic book accurate? Spider Man is ESSENTIAL to Venom’s entire existence and he was nowhere in the movie. Fuck outta here.

Right, but that wasnt a creative decision, they couldnt use the character.
And yet the depiction of Eddy, and Venom as characters despite that, and the duality of the character, and the little arguments but ultimate realization they need each other was all a comic accurate depiction of the character. They had to change the origin slightly because of rights, but the characters' personality, actions, and motivations are in line with the comic. And it can be easily fixed in the future when Marvel plays nice and lets Sony do a black suit story. Boom, now you have your Spidey conflict (Venom latches to Spidey, Peter gets Eddy fired, Spidey gets rid of Venom - they're both bitter and angry, we get the white spider - all problems solved).
Unlike Joker, which has as much to do with the comics as Hally Barry's Catwoman does. Or Dragon Ball Evolution does to do with DB.
Venom director said a crossover wit Tom Holland’s Spider Man is gonna be made. 🤘🏻
Alexa, play “As MC Gently Weeps”.
I dont have a problem with Holland. I have an issue with him being Tony Jr. Now that Tony is out of the picture, hopefully they can do it right.
Like I said above, they still have the ability to soft "reboot" Venom with a Spidey movie to tie into the comics in a logical sense, and give us a good movie.
The "with great power come great responsibility" line plays a big role in who Spider-Man becomes. That line from Ben was crucial to who Peter was. Now they changed it. The conspiracy against Uncle Ben continues. These characters dont exist in a vacuum. We all know the movies have no respect but comics are the pure source.
MC's assumptions were waaaay off base with this movie too. Everything he was arguing against the past few pages were based on things not even present in the movie

Comic book accurate!

It's official now. It's been printed on paper.

First episode was really well done. I have no complaints so far.
