The second I heard they cast Gaga and it was gonna be a musical, I was out lmao I like Gaga but that all just sounded horrible. Shame. I adored the first film. Will probably never watch the second unless it’s just playing at a friends house when I’m over.
I loved Joker. It’s so rare to see a comic related movie where you don’t know how it’s going to play out before you see it. I think a lot of people made their kinds up to hate it as soon as they saw the word “musical” attached to it, but if you paid attention to the first one you know how much of the film really just plays out in his head
Newest Venom was fun. Nothing phenomenal but prolly the most thoroughly enjoyable out of the trilogy. Idk if this is truly sposed to be the final movie tho, everything was left so open ended. Even the way Knull was treated. Cause like reviews mentioned, it was very much an “Early Thanos” type appearance rather than a final showdown wit him. So we’ll see. And hopefully it is further explored, cause that’s what a villain like that deserves.

Didn’t know it was out until I was hanging out with my brother. I got up to cook some food and he said he’d be back in a few and disappeared for a few hours. He came back and said Venom sucked. That’s how I knew it was out lol
I didn’t see anything about casting, plot or trailer breakdowns, now “what we know so far” videos. No news reports of reshoots or gossip. I didn’t see any clips of talk shows or media appearances. No one on social media talked about it that I saw.

That’s usually the argument about all the race/gender swapping. I get that a lot of the characters were created white for white audiences in the 40s and 50s. Some swaps are ok. It’s getting ridiculous though. I saw a little of the show. What they did with the Penguin just wasn’t true to the character. Felt more like a Bond villain

I watched Marvels last night for the first time. The scene where they go to the world where Captain Marvel is queen and everyone sings is basically the future world libs want lol. Nothing but a mix of ethnic, sexually ambiguous people singing and dancing. It was extra funny when the warmongering Kree show up and these singing homos suddenly know how to defend themselves. At least my 4 year old seemed entertained, I guess
New Captain America was dope. Not one of their all time greats but solid, fun ass watch. Prolly 7.5 or 8/10. It’s gonna sound blasphemous, but honestly I was never huge on Captain America as a character, so out of the original 3, I liked Civil War the most, but only cause it was essentially Avengers 2.5 more than it was Captain America. So out of the first 2 solo ones before that and this, I was honestly more entertained by this than I was by those. 🤷🏻♂️ My only thing is I want to look into the background of this, because in every way but Falcon/Cap being the hero, this was essentially a late direct sequel to the 2008 Edward Norton Hulk. So it makes me wonder if this was originally planned as a solo Hulk movie and got scrapped? Cause I can’t understand why Hulk’s most iconic villain ever ends up being a Falcon villain of all characters. It feels like it was a last minute script change. That or they knew it would already be a struggle to get people to accept Sam as Cap, so they jus said fuck it let’s give it the coolest villain possible lmao. But still it seems like an odd choice. Still played out well on screen tho.
