I don’t mind the current Ahsoka story but most of it was used as the plot line to the Ahsoka book after the series was cancelled. I didn’t realize how far in we would be before we got some new stuff.
@MetalCoresades re-watching the prequels and saw this :-? Grievious does run away from them in the beginning of the movie and only fights Obi Wan when he thinks he is alone
Sure, but coward doesnt mean incompetent. He could just always run away when he loses the upper hand, he doesnt have to be bumbling idiot like in The Clone Wars. Or at the very least they could have shown him start as a badass Jedi hunter (I mean there's no way Grevious could claim that lightsaber collection given how pathetic and incompotent he is in The Clone Wars), and then start becoming more cowardly and insecure after he is injured and develops his breathing problem, ala 2003 Clone Wars.
Not much Ani this season but he’s been great in what we’ve seen so far. That was a clutch force pull (I’m always annoyed at how often this power is forgotten or unused especially combo’d with a lightsaber) The shot of Obi blocking the incoming rocket was awesome. This episode was fire and it was basically just a set up episode. Can’t wait to see the rest of the arc play out even though we all know the broad strokes of what’s coming and how it ends.
Ashoka is the GOAT SW character. We could have that discussion. Buckle up or knuckle up. Her arc has been fantastic from annoying beginnings to the end. It was a great moment when she got her sabers back, although it also reminded me of the few lines in her book about her, the lightsabers, and Rex post Order 66 and then I got sad again. And always glad for more Maul.
This is peak Star Wars right here. This is the crescendo, in the space between this episode and into the next. These last episodes have been phenomenal in all areas. Storytelling, lighting, action and scene transitions, sound and production. Maul was amazing throughout. (Sam killed it with the emotional range of his vocal work and Ray Park was listed as Maul in the credits because they motion captured those fight scenes) Fantastic job showing all the familiar pieces in place to let us know where we are in the timeline by lacing this story together with the movie. This is what the sequel trilogy should have made us feel. Long Live Filoni Wars!

Even just the "Lucasfilm Production" had us freaking out. You could tell instantly they are going balls to the wall with this last arc
