It's not so much great triumphs come from defeats.. That's not really the point.. It's more so IMO that people who suffer are usually in the anti social, anti society bubble.. They struggle because they see others easily fitting the normal mold and societal happiness usually coincides with those norms.. Art is the dissection and exposition of those norms
Nah there is some truth in some of that .. Art, a lot of times, is suffering .. Mc you should read some bukowski
No MC... You shouldnt. Nola will try and sell you on shit like "Women" but trust me don't waste your time. It's garbage, unoriginal, and it is 100% something you will not enjoy. I read women because Nola, being the hipster he is, really sold me hard on it. I read the whole book and would list it as one of the worst books I've ever read. There was nothing redeeming about it and it is nothing you would like.
Women is mostly just funny not thought provoking lol mc would not like his novels.. Stick to his poetry it's much better
okay... I guess I can't comment on his poetry. My only exposure to Bukowski was 'Women', and if you are agreeing that MC would not like 'Women' then we are on same page.
That's one lady's opinion On the internet ... When I say most renowned I mean by other artists not really the gen pop..like how tom waits is well renowned in music by other artists but the gen pop could give two fucks about him

I agree... but it contradicts what you said about him being one of the most renowned. If he is as renowned as you claim he is, a google search and click into a few top 10 lists should have him listed. Im not saying he isnt popular... he sold books and probably made good money from it. Im just saying he isnt as renowned as you are claiming. He isnt JK Rowling for example. He isnt Steven King. yadda yadda yadda
I didnt really mean popular I guess.. I meant more respected from the fellow literary artist community.. And like I said some women just straight up hate him but he's perfect for like an mc if he finds the poems
Well if we are in a hook up culture then there are going to be people who feel tje opposite of that.. For every movement there will always be a counter movement, usually not as big tho
