Show was amazing last night. No need to review it though since so many people went to the tour and it was streamed online. I'll just post the pictures.
LOG is done making good music, i dont see why people cant see and or accept this but theyre still fun live esp in like a club setting and not mayhem
iv enjoyed parts of both there last 2 CD's....just because there not as good as the old ones doesn't mean there not making good music anymore...its still better then most of any of the new stuff out now a days (pop/rap and most metal)
The Acacia Strain (canceled)/Veil of Maya/Upon A Burning Body/Volumes/Twitching Tongues 11/27/12 at The Rock in Tucson, AZ
My friend and I left the valley (Phoenix area) later than expected, but the drive down was smooth and chill. Listened to Intronaut, Yawning Man, and King Crimson on the way down, BTBAM, Alice In Chains, and Pink Floyd on the way back. We actually timed things perfectly because we stepped into the venue (which I'd never been to before) just a few minutes before Twitching Tongues went on.
Twitching Tongues - I saw them at Within These Walls in Mesa back in September (which they mentioned during their set), so I knew what to pretty much expect. They're nothing awesome, but they're not bad. Talked with the singer briefly after their set, he's a really nice guy, very grateful. 7.5/10
Volumes - They really got the crowd going, so I give them credit for that. Pretty cool I guess, second time seeing them. 8/10
Upon A Burning Body - They REALLY got the crowd going. I hope there's footage of it up soon. The place went nuts. I think the Mexican druglord getup is kind of cheesy, but everyone has their thing I guess. 8/10
Veil of Maya - Fucking insanely fun. Awesome setlist too, which I posted in another thread. The crowd got pretty into them, mainly towards the end, but you could tell that a fair amount of people were pissed about TAS, so they didn't get an enormous response. No fucks, though, I had a blast. I got to sing the words to Dark Passenger too Well worth the trip, would do ten times more. My friend and I chilled with the singer afterwards, and he actually remembered me after we talked a bit from a couple years ago when I smoked him out on the Darkest Hour tour. Neat stuff, they're nice guys. Pics coming soon. 10/10
You can actually make me out in the crowd on the front/left side in the beginning sort of doing this
No fucks given, it was a great time. Not sure why the cameraman thought that shooting from the bar area BEHIND a pillar was a good vantage point, though.
