Wolf-Face - The "battle of the bands" winner to be on the festival, their music sounded very Polar Bear Club ish, but they all wore wolf mask/hair, yellow basketball uniforms, and most of their music had something to do with the movie Teen Wolf, they sounded really good but i wish they'd drop the gimmicj. - 6/10
Twenty One Pilots - Some of the best indie-rap I've ever heard, it was a 2 man band. the vocalist/pianist reminded me of Bo Burnham, his fast and quirky raping caught the crowd's attention, their drummer played non stop funky/groove beats the whole time and got most of the crowd dancing to their music, they really impressed myself and everyone else there, would go see again - 7.5/10
The Joy Formidable - The next big female fronted band in my opinion, they were so incredibly heavy for a indie pop band, they made me think of a Yeah Yeah Yeahs mixed with Soundgarden and the first Muse album, they sounded and played great, would go see again - 8/10
Paper Tongues - The only band of the day i didn't enjoy at all, the music itself wasn't bad, but the singer had that "I'm the man" attitude, also i didn't enjoy all of the effects he was using with the microphone, they just overall were very boring - 3/10
Grouplove - I had never listened to them before their performance and i was impressed, they definitely are not your average indie band, only complaint was i couldn't hear the vocals (it was so bad the crowd started chanting "turn up the mics", but besides that a very solid performance, I'll have to check them out again - 7/10
Flogging Molly - The main reason i was there, I've been listening to them for 5 years and had never seen them, and they didn't let down in the slightest, they had a great interaction with the crowd, and sounded perfect, could have had a better setlist but oh well, their cover of "Times They Are A Changing" by Bob Dylan was awesome as well, i would go see them again multiple times - 9/10
Of Monsters & Men - I had been hearing about this band for a month but never checked them out until their performance, not what i was expecting at all (in a good way), they were definitely the softest band of the day but after 4 hours of hectic crowd surfers it was a nice change of pace, they have a very interesting sound to say the least, it's not often I hear a band whom don't sound like anyone else, I'll check them out again at some point - 7/10
Fun - It was unfortunately almost impossible to enjoy this band because of the idiotic crowd, their sound was nearly flawless but then setlist was beyond disappointing, but the crowd went insane for their 2 big singles, I'd watch them again if they're at a festival but i don't think I'd pay to see them headline, they were ok but a little boring - 6.5/10
Silversun Pickups - The reason for about 65% of the entire attendance i think, I've liked this band for a few years and was pretty excited to see them for the first time, and their sound was some of the most crystal clear sound quality I've ever heard, also apparently their bassist is expecting twin girls so they had a replacement (another girl who looked a lot like Sara from "Tegan And Sara", and she was awesome, they played all of their best songs, glad i finally got to see them - 8/10
Bush - This band is hit or miss for me, i really enjoy several songs but the rest of them are extremely boring at times, their played all of their hits like "Come Down" and "Machinehead", they sounded exactly like they do on CD but didn't put on much of a performance - 6.5/10
Rise Against - One of the very first modern rock bands i got into, so it was a long time coming for me to see them live, and they were awesome, their sound was perfect, Tim is one of the best vocalists in punk/rock today, they had some technical difficulties that caused them to cut 3 songs from their set, but they more than made up for it, I would more than definitely go see them again. - 9/10 ---

Death Grips -- San Francisco, CA -- December 3rd, 2012
Me and my pals got their late but it didn't matter, because the opening act was on like 45 minutes late. When we got there the place was fucking packed. I could tell it was gonna be a rough show, given footage from other Death Grips shows and seeing as how SF is as close to a home town show they're doing, there was a little extra energy.
Cities Aviv: Only opening act. They're an experimental hip-hop group. Just an MC and producer. They started with one kind of droning thing while the MC would shout "life is real". They then started their actual songs after a couple minutes of that. The crowd really dug them and a pit broke out after a couple songs, which surprised me. The MC totally vibed on that and got in the crowd a few times and stage dived, and there were people crowd surfing too. I really liked what I was hearing. Really bass heavy production that was sort of industrial at times, but the same way Jesu is industrial. Also there were some samples I really liked, don't know what they were, but they were sick. The MC was awesome too, spitting some philosophical shit and his voice was pretty low, some what resembling MC Ride. Definitely a fitting opening act.
Death Grips: After a decent wait, Death Grips came on and not even 2 seconds after they started the crowd was going straight insane. Mosh pits, crowd surfers and a constant push/shove all over the floor were present through out the whole set. It was really intense and super fun. MC Ride was on top of it most of the show, just being as absolutely primal as could be. Zach Hill was a hero. That guy is a great drummer and he was going ballistic the whole set, doing a lot of crazy fills and just complimenting the music really well. It probably would sound a little off if there were cymbals, so I understand why he didn't have any. The band just blasted through their set, no breaks in between songs. The monitors they had playing videos were really cool too. Playing shots from all their videos then some. I noticed the crowd was most intense for the opening songs, Takyon, Guillotine, Spread Eagle Cross the Block, No Love, and The Fever. Only complaints were that they still had the lead vocal track playing in the instrumental for a few tracks. Also, I noticed MC Ride starting to strain his voice during No Love and The Fever, but that's to be expected. He's screaming in the mic like a mad hobo for about an hour night after night, you're probably gonna struggle for a little bit here and there. Overall, super intense show, one of the best I've seen in a while.
As this was the last stop of the tour, they were low on merch and all they had were No Love Deep Web shirts, and I'm not gonna buy a shirt with a dick on it. I surprised with the number of people who did. They looked like damn fools.
Got there at the perfect time because all the local bands were done. The HAARP Machine were up first these guys were really good i'd like to see them again. The setlist i saw before the show was like 3 songs but they actually played 5 songs. I'd like to see them again soon.
Setlist: The HAARP Machine Esoteric Agenda Pleiadian Keys Disclosure Extension To One The Escapist Notion
Next up Revocation I have been waiting to see these guys for awhile. They did not disspoint they were really good live. The new songs from that ep sounded really fucking good . My favorite song they played was Bound By Desire. Can't wait to see these guys again.
Setlist: Revocation Dismantle the Dictator Maniacally Unleashed Bound by Desire Conjuring the Cataclysm No Funeral Leviathan Awaits Empire of the Obscene
Next up The Faceless these guys were so amazing live one of the best live bands i've seen. The setlist was top notch i wish i could of went to Summer Slaughter earilier this year to see them. I hope they are touring by me soon so i can see them again. I think they should do a tour where they play the new album and there last album both together that would be killer. The best songs of the night were accelerated evolution , legion of the serpent, deconsecrate and xenochrist. I was suprised they played the second planetary duality song. All in all great show all 3 bands were great.
Setlist: The Faceless Shape Shifters Coldly Calculated Design Ten Billion Years Accelerated Evolution Legion of the Serpent Autotheist Movement III: Deconsecrate Xenochrist Hail Science Hymn of Sanity Planetary Duality I (Hideous Revelation) Planetary Duality II (A Prophecies Fruition) An Autopsy The Ancient Covenant
I am just now getting to my review of the Killswitch Engage 10th anniversary show on Tuesday because i have not been home before now.
Acaro - I have never been so impressed by a band I've never heard of beforehand, their music sounded similar to what I want to play, got their CD after the show and they all signed it, really cool dudes, I'll definitely keep an eye out for their new album. - 8/10
Shadows Fall - While I'm not a huge fan of this band, they were one of the bands that got me into rock/metal music when the song "The Light That Blinds" first came out, and I was glad they got on this tour, they were overall very solid and sounded great, but everyone except for their vocalist Brian didn't move much at all, don't think I'd really care to see them again but I'm glad i could see them once. - 6.5/10
Killswitch Engage - The band that got me into modern metal, this show was especially awesome and special because it was both the 10th anniversary of their "Alive Or Just Breathing" album (which they played in it's entirety) but it was the first tour for them since the return of their original vocalist Jesse Leach, and they were awesome, the energy was intense, plus it's always fun to see Adam D live, overall one of the best shows of the year, and I'd definitely go see them again. - 9/10 --- I got my "Alive Or Just Breathing" booklet signed by Jesse Leach, my "Threads Of Life" booklet signed by the Shadows Fall vocalist, i got Acaro's album signed by them whole band, got a KsE and SF guitar pick, a SF setlist, and i got a picture with Adam and Jesse from KsE and Brian from SF.
Also I filmed my friend Bradley Dillon interviewing Brian from SF and will post it when i have it up. --- KsE

What's with Savior being their biggest/one of their biggest songs now? It's not that good at all. It's just a generic Rise song.
I like the song, but i know what you mean, i think POTR should be their encore. I do however love the song The Dirt Whispered and was so glad they played it
