also I havent seen many videos of people attacking police, I see alot of videos of peaceful protestors being fucked up by cops and in NYC the cops shutdown many blocks in the middle of the night and cleared all airspace and fucked up protestors. Sure, there are assholes, just like in any other group, but I have witnessed Occupy philly and occupy nyc and theyre both peaceful demonstrations and I agree with everything Shane has posted on this topic. The cops are going to cause way more harm then good.

They are just linking arms. That's it, and they get the okay to beat them back.

This was the UC Berkeley's response to what happened...

“It is unfortunate that some protesters chose to obstruct the police by linking arms and forming a human chain to prevent the police from gaining access to the tents,” Birgeneau said. “This is not non-violent civil disobedience.”

Yeah, linking arms is violent protest, that is the justification for what happened. Please defend that for me.
