A restaurant manger buys 100lb of hamburger and 50 lbs of steak for $540. A second purchase at the same rate , includes 150lb of hamburger and 100lb of steak for $960. Find the price of 1lb of hamburger and 1lb of steak.
I believe in the present state, that limit comes out to infinity/infinity. So use L'Hopital's Rule and take the derivative of both the top and bottom functions, then try to take the limit of that.
Comments
150x + 100y = 960
-200x - 100y = -1080
150x + 100y = 960
-50x = -120
x = 2.4
100(2.4) + 50y = 540 --> 240 + 50y = 540 --> 50y = 300 ---> y = 6
Solve, graph and find the interval. all the graphs are number lines.
2-3(2x-4) ≤ 4x-2(1-3x)
Solve, graph and find the interval.
3x ≥ 6 and y-4< 5
Solve, graph and find the interval
-4x ≤ -24 pr 4x-2 ≤ 10
Solve,graph and find the interval
|2x-5|<3
Solve,graph and find the interval
4x - 1 = 7 ----> x = 2
So x has to be between -1 and 2 and not equal to either of those.
That's basically how you do all of those.
2 - 6x + 12 < 4x - 2 + 6x ----> 14 - 6x < -2 + 10x ----> 16 < 16x ----> 1 < x
3x = 6 --> x = 2, so x has to be equal to or greater than 2. y - 4 = 5 ---> y = 9, so y has to be less than 9
-4x = -24 ----> x = 6
4x - 2 = 10 ----> x = 3
x can be either equal to or greater than 6 or equal or less than 3
2x - 5 = 3 ----> x =4
2x - 5 = -3 ----> x = 1
x has to be between 1 and 4 and not equal to either of those.
x+y=3, x-y=-1
solve by graphing
x-y-z=5 solve for x,y,z
2x+z=2
3y-2z=1
2x-3y=7
-4x+6y=14
I got no solution not sure if its right because another question has the same answer.
3y - 2z = 1 ----> 2z = 3y -1 --> z = (3/2)y - 1/2
x - y - z = 5 ----> x - y - 3/2 y + 1/2 = 5 ---> x - (5/2)y = 9/2 ----> -2x + 5y = -9
2x + (3/2)y - 1/2 = 2 ----> 2x + (3/2)y = 5/2
---> (13/2)y = -13/2 ---> y = -1
-2x - 5 = -9 ----> -2x = -4 ---> x = 2
2 + 1 - z = 5 ---> 2+1-5 = z = -2
4x - 6y = 14
-4x + 6y = 14 ----> 0 =/= 28.....so yeah. No solution.
The first problem I have that I have no clue how to solve is this
The limit of x as x-> positive infinity of the function
(x-.5x)/(2x+(1/6x))
My possible answers are -3,-.5,-1/3,.5, and 2
sin 2x - sin x = 0
4 sin x cos x = 1
cos 2x - cos x = 0
book says 0, pi, pi/3, 5pi/3
i dont wanna confuse myself
4 sin x cos x = 1 -----> sin x cos x = 1/4. If you can graph this I would....
cos 2x - cos x = 0 ----->cos 2x = cos x
Fixed because I can't edit
I need some help with these.
