Here's a math riddle if anyone is interested. It proves all math wrong!
I've seen this a few times and it annoys me. It says assume x=y, and at the end concludes with 1=2. Because 1 =/= 2, the assumption of x=y is false, nothing more.
cosine of an angle = value of adjacent leg/value of hypotenuse
sine of an angle = value of opposite leg/value of hypotenuse
tangent of an angle = value of opposite leg/value of adjacent leg
Once you have the value, such as tan(x) = some number, you can use the inverse cos/sin/tan function on your calculator to get x. It's also called the arccos/arcsin/arctan function...

My interpretation of it was that since the problem solution includes (x-y), and since x = y, it would include a division by zero, which results in an impossible answer. Your answer is more of a logical conclusion, which also is correct.

Could you show me the work on those problems please.
Nope
A. -5x-x over 3-2x B. -x-5 over 2x-3 C. x+5 over 3-2x D. -x-5 over 3-2x"
A. -5-x/3-2x = -(x+5)/-(2x-3) = x+5/2x-3
B. -x-5/2x-3 = -(x+5)/2x-3
C. x+5/3-2x = -(5-x)/-(2x-3) = 5-x/2x-3
D. -x-5/3-2x = -(x+5)/-(2x-3) = x+5/2x-3
So none of them are equal to it. Either you listed the problem wrong or I missed something.
All the other ones you need to factor out, then combine the terms by making sure they have a common denominator.
idk how to start
sine of an angle = value of opposite leg/value of hypotenuse
tangent of an angle = value of opposite leg/value of adjacent leg

came out perfectly
