fake, it has to be, theres a 99.99999% chance those seals were firing 5.56 nato rounds. no 5.56 is gonna blow your fucking head off like that
Well I read a quote from a senator who saw the photo (that I now cannot find) who said that the shot blew off part of his head, left his brains visible, and blew out his left eye as well as being very bloody. That could still just be a photoshop, but it's close to what he was describing.
Kinda late, but that pic is shooped. All the pictures you find are all shooped. Look at the lower half of the head.
And Wake, you have a very good point on Lincoln. By today's standards he would be considered a racist, lol. He didn't give a shit about black people.

Please tell me you're fucking kidding me...
He fought for equality, there was no oppression on whites, it was all on blacks. Yea, he didn't give a shit so much that he fought for their equal rights. Give me a fucking break.

Erik have you actually looked hard into studying Lincoln's views?
well i have actually and i think bottle tree has it a little wrong. was lincoln a civil rights hero?? far from it but through his writings and speeches he does seem to genuinely be anti slavery.

Anti-slavery doesn't necessarily mean that he supported it because of wanting to end black oppression.

It's true, by today's standards Lincoln would be considered a racist. He didn't think black people were equal to white people. There's many books out there to quote him on it.
true but its hard to know the real reason behind any person of offices stance......all i can say is based on what i read it would appear to be that he was more on the abloitionist side of view at the time than the slavery side, regardless of any preserving the union type agenda

and by todays standards 99 percent of the 1860's american public would be considered racists lol
It was hard for me to learn about this when I first did. A teacher in high school showed me a book with a bunch of quotes to support this that were highlighted.

Yeah I know that picture is shopped, but it shows almost exactly what the one senator described. Which was the only point I was trying to make to Shane.

Sorry for not replying to you, lol. I agree with you, I'm just saying that a lot of people tend to believe that Lincoln had very different ideas when it comes to slavery from other people of that time when in fact that wasn't true. Like when people compared to Obama to Lincoln, I would say he's more like FDR.
yea and i should read that lincoln racist book, it seems interesing....histroy is such a crazy topic you really never know what is the real truth behind much of anything

You mean Columbus wasn't the first person in history to discover America and that he actually didn't treat the Native Americans like royalty?

probably not. If I had to guess, I believe Lincoln probably would be personally against slavery. However it was not something that was high on his importance list as we are taught to believe. It was absolutely a tool he leveraged to drive his agenda. Which was keeping the states together and a strong central gov

For reals. Schools really sugar coat a lot of things, and teachers don't really express the things that are wrong in text books.
Hell, in Texas they were considering (I'm not sure if they already went through with it or not...) leaving out the 9 Mexicans who helped defend the Alamo out of the text books along with a bunch of other bullshit fueled by racism.

And it kills me that we are taught he was a civil rights hero, and that the back community typically remembers him as such. He probably was personally against slavery (maybe), but it is very clear form his writings that his focus on the slave issues were done only to form a strong central federal gov.
did you know that the emancipation proclamation freed not one slave. Slaves were already free in the areas that it covered.
