Everyone who says Pantera is just eh or meh? can you please give me some reasons as to why they are just meh or eh besides that? That's all anyone ever says if they dont like Pantera is theyre either heh or overrated, i never hear anyone give me a good reason. That's what leads me to believe people never really gave them a chance and is just joining the crowd in saying they are overrated cause they are not, theyre a very good band.

Some people don't like certain food, some people don't like certain bands.
They're eh to me because it's a little boring. I can't listen to them for more then a couple songs at a time and I can't pinpoint if it's the guitar or vocals. I've never been able to really put my finger on much besides they can't hold my interest for very long at all
Trust me, I'm not hating or tryna be an ass at all. I understand people don't like certain bands and that's cool with me. I'm just looking for reasons besides they're overrated and meh.
I really don't see Pantera as boring. They add alot of different styles to their music, theirs power metal, sludge, rock, groove, they even have some breakdowns and killer solo's. not every Pantera song sounds the same at all. The guitars are definately not boring, dime has a blues style metal that he plays with almost thrash style solos. their music has alot of soul and upbeats. and they even have breakdowns which they save for perfect times in songs, mixed with killer clean riffs and baddass solos. The singer is great, he has multiple styles, he has a great singing voice and can also scream highpithced like other popular metal bands, but also has a badass swagger about his voice that almost reminds me of a modern hardcore band. he i think the singer is mostly where the soul sound of the band comes from. he brings so much to the table vocally where alot of other bands have one singing style. the bass player is the bass player, he's good, but any decent bass player could play in pantera. the only thing i could see someone have an argument with boring is the drums, they are very plain and nothing spectacular, but he's better than lars.
I understand if people dont like pantera, but i think alot of people just really never gave them a chance...
a few songs that shows their variety in music... please listen to these songs and tell me they are boring and plain, its just not true. once again i'm not hating, i just think people havent really heard them and just folow the complex they believe about them.

godsmack sucks, theyre not the worst band i ever heard, but I explained in great detail the other day why the were not good...

I'm serious, I don't like Pantera or Damageplan. I can tolorate a few Pantera songs and like one Damageplan song. Both.sond pretty much the same for me...even though technically they're the same damn band just with a different bassist. Both are just, for lack of a better word, boring
