I have no clue if she can pull financial strings. I'm going to talk to her about it more in depth in the Fall when I have her again. She yes, Columbia is one of the best for CompLit. Not many universities have a grad school program for it. Rutgers has an amazing Comp Lit grad program, but I'm not sure if I want to stay in Jersey. As well as Princeton, Yale, Brown, NYU, Penn State. The one I'm leaning towards though is University of Florance. There are quite a few amazing ones abroad.
you are a very fascinating person. Studying at the University of Florance does sound culturally appealing, so I now understand your quandary.

I've got like a little over a year to figure it out, but I have to first decide grad school for Creative Writing (which would mean Columbia) or CompLit (which would mean who knows where).

Are your parents helping you out? or would they help you out with grad school? It'd be pretty neat if they were.
My parents are dead broke, about to be evicted from their house and my brother is starting college in the fall and they still have to take care of my sister, so no, I'm on my own. Loans and grants and scholarships and shit like that. Fucking sucks.
its pretty stupid to go into debt for something you can't make money on,. you might love it now but when the time to pay them loans back comes you'll be singing a different tune. thats all i gotta say

nevermind
worst case scenario: she has to refer to the former to resolve the latter....... but it doesn't work just the same when you flipped those two.
..... its just a dumb argument. and projection of their own mediocrity
