" the only thing that pisses me off is i heard on the radio they turned down a better offer from the raiders so they could send mcnabb to a better team so he'd be happy"
I believe it. They could have handled this so much better. McNabb was always such a class act.
maybe if reid would have ran the ball more we would have made it further a few years, but who knows? kolb doesnt have the same power arm that mcnabb does but, hes more accurate. they have to have a nice mix of run pass ratio in order for any qb coming in to be comfortable.
Generally speaking, players would prefer to learn about trades that affect them from their actual team — that way, the team can do whatever damage control is necessary and assure the player in question that he's still a crucial part of their plans. The truth may be altogether different, but damage control isn't always about the truth.
What current (soon-to-be-former?) Redskins quarterback Jason Campbell(notes) now knows is that his team didn't think enough of him to let him know when they dropped the hammer on the Donovan McNabb(notes) trade. Campbell, who's been Washington's primary quarterback since 2007, found out about the trade when he got a phone call from John Keim of the Washington Examiner just after the deal was consummated.
Me: Did you hear about what happened?
Jason: What?
Me: The Redskins traded for Donovan.
Jason: Really? Ummm ... I didn't know that, man.
Me: I'm sorry I had to be the one who told you. I can't believe they didn't tell you.
Jason: No, that's the first I heard of it. ... I'd better go call my agent.
When I called back later, it went to voice mail. His mailbox was full.
Yeah thats what really got on my nerves....Even though he's been a Redskin, I've been a Jason Cambell fan for a couple years just because of what they put him through. I know he's a god player given the opportunity. I mean keep an offense for more than one year, I think they'd find out.
I loved Campbell as the Redskins starter because I think hes a stupid QB.
I saw nothing in college for Campbell to be taken in the first rd and he has yet to live up to that high draft pick.
I will also be happy if he does go somewhere else and has a few good ,maybe even pro bowl seasons then I can laugh at the redskins fans around here a little more.
And the Okung pick is gaining a loooottt of steam. Looking just as likely as Suh now. They won't trade down either, unless Washington falls in love with Bulaga or Davis or someone.

I think Reid has taken them as far as he can though, his days in Philly are numbered.
George, can you read the upcoming shows thread for me?

yea man, the should have kept alot of the rumor bs internal. i guess they did him a favor not sending him to oakland though.
The Okung argument for the Lions is gaining steam though
