This is close, because I think that defense is what made them a good team. Sure, Brees made the offense what it is, but I think the progression on defense is what made the franchise what it is.

That's a close one if you ask me. Miller is what makes that offense have positive yardage.
I'm not saying it wasn't a mistake, I just think bust is a bit low of a term.
Without the support of the rest of the team, one player can't make that difference.
Help out immensely is a more appropriate term.
however Julius Peppers didn't dramatically improve the Panthers, and it won't dramatically improve the Bears.
Neither did Brian Urlacher
