Couldn't find the two smaller speakers in the storage unit but these two behemoths were right up front. One step closer to having my full set up back \m/

seems cool but vinyl weighs heavy af. as long as the plywood bottoms are thick enough and theres extra L bracket support on them they should be ok. but yeah that stuff weighs down a lot.
3/4" plywood is pretty sturdy, and the basic box structure gives it plenty of structural integrity as well. Enough people have built them and modified them in various ways that I'm not too concerned. This design also let's you have the place you get the wood from make the major cuts so it's easier for people without a lot of tools (aka you guys) to build.
My first stack of records came with a nice wooden crate to keep them in but it's 3 feet long, on the ground, and heavy as hell. It's OK for now but it's not a great long term solution. One of these on each side of the stereo cabinet with the speakers capping the ends would be a really nice visual set up for a long term collection like Satan's.

Woke up to take a shit and decided to check eBay and got those for $46 shipped. Seller says they are in very good to like new condition.
Id say I got a good deal because I’ve looked up the prices of Volume 3 and Iowa before and they usually go for right around $100 each.
I'm glad you've changed your mind after all these years
