I watched the Lion King remake today. It wasnt bad and was genuinely enjoyable, i also found it completely unnecessary.

For me it felt unnecessary mostly because the whole time i was like “id rather see the original” 

But yeah, it was entertaining so i guess it accomplished the goal. 

Going to peep the alladin remake next.

The Disney remakes are literally just to retain IP rights and make a quick buck lol

I actually liked the live action Aladdin more than the cartoon. And I grew up on the cartoon

I liked it, but that's too far lol. The original is my favorite Disney movie.

My GF liked it too, but i know not having robin williams will make it just not the same to me. Robin’s Genie is probably my favorite disney character.

Aladdin remake was really good. Lion King remake was just a shot for shot remake but with duller colors and CGI.

They changed the hyena's names and cut some songs, so they did change things

IT wasn't my favorite of the year but god damn Joaquin Phoenix is good in that movie.

I mean, it's prolly like top 3 though, so don't think I'm trying to say I didn't like the movie. I just didn't think we'd see another performance on par with Heath Ledger.
