The upcoming Batman 3 could be the Caped Crusader's final movie outing -- at least under the direction of Christopher Nolan.
In an interview with The Los Angeles Times, the British director -- besides confirming his involvement in the new Superman franchise (click here to read the full story) -- also went into detail about the creative process behind the hotly anticipated sequel to The Dark Knight.
"Without getting into specifics, the key thing that makes the third film a great possibility for us is that we want to finish our story," he said. "And in viewing it as the finishing of a story rather than infinitely blowing up the balloon and expanding the story.
"I'm very excited about the end of the film, the conclusion, and what we've done with the characters," Nolan said. "My brother [Jonah] has come up with some pretty exciting stuff. Unlike the comics, these thing don't go on forever in film and viewing it as a story with an end is useful. Viewing it as an ending, that sets you very much on the right track about the appropriate conclusion and the essence of what tale we're telling. And it hearkens back to that priority of trying to find the reality in these fantastic stories. That's what we do."
He wouldn't go into details about the plot or future villains, but did at least confirm that Mr. Freeze wouldn't make an appearance.
so far Nightmare has gotten shit reviews (thus far the only real positive review is from Harry Knowles on AICN from one of the dvdtalk reviewers
Just got back. It was entirely not as bad as I was expecting. My number one concern going in was the kids, but they were much more appealing than I expected. Dialogue is truly atrocious, but Bayer steamrolls ahead with the visuals and basically ignores the story and characters, and those visuals are pretty good. Haley is enjoyable, although claims that Freddy is "scarier" here are only partially founded. Good scares, sure, but he's still the same old joke-crackin' Krueger.
Don't know how pleased Nightmare fans will be -- I was disappointed how they de-toothed Nancy, particularly in one horrendous moment near the end -- but it's different enough from the original that you can view it more as a distant sequel than a remake, and in that regard, it's a cut above.
I just got back from Nightmare On Elm Street. Fucking awesome.
Only complaints are the CGI wall effect and too many "jump outs" but other than that it was an awesome movie. Although the original is obviously superior, this one is a worthy remake with perhaps a better story.
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG
Obviously a 14 year old will like a violent movie like that, doesn't mean it's good. It's like Friday The 13th remake it felt like a dumbass porno, the guy is cheating on his girlfriend and his girlfriend knocks on the door and is like "What's going on"? Bitch, he's having sex with your friend now knock down that goddamn door and whoop his ass.

lol, were you expecting the opposite?
And the dialogue was good in the original?
I'm sure a lot of you saw this already but I just watched the trailer for the first time and I think it looks sweet.

I didn't like the movie because it was violent, I liked it because the story was good and it did justice to the original.
