Just came back from Solo. Was actually pretty good and not as bad as I thought. I fangirled the fuck out at that cameo towards the end. Surprised they went canon with that.
I don't understand the relevance of that cameo. Someone explain how that made sense please? Not being sarcastic I'm legitimately curious how that fits. Not gonna see the movie someone just pm it to me if you don't wanna spoil it for others here.
This does take place after the last time we saw him in the movies. He was listed just by his name with no preceding title. They just figured he was an underutilized character and brought him back because he's awesome.
People are speculating that we will see the cameo character in a Kenobi solo film and I dont see how. We've already seen this conflict in the Clone Wars and finish in Rebels. Wouldn't an Obi Wan movie just be a retread of that? Unless they decannonize Rebels.
The actors from Solo were signed to a 3 picture deal. Hard to say if they wanted Solo sequels, or if they were to appear in other movies like a Fett movie as side characters
Losing rebels as canon would be worth it to me for another movie of Ewan and Ray Park battling each other with light sabers again.

What else do you want to know?
Have yourself the clone wars?
It's just a little seed they planted.
It also leaves the door wide open for future movies.
Still is as far as I know. Rebels was around 2 years before A New Hope. This takes place before Rebels, but after TCW.
Phantom Menace > TCW > Solo > Rebels > ANH
I think?
