    That's not really a good way to judge it though, is it? I mean it's good if you want to be in denial. Say my dream is to live somewhere that's warm the majority of the time. I'm from Chicago and I never make any effort to leave Chicago or go anywhere else and one day decide "Fuck it. Fuck warmth. There's no other warm places on the planet because Chicago is my little bubble and that's all I know and its cold here. I've heard of other places where it's constantly warm but fuck those places too because they can get cold sometimes."  See how silly it all is when said out loud?

    Dude, Im just sick of being let down all the time. 

    Using your analogy, its like moving from Chicago to Wisconsin, or Michigan, or Iowa and getting the same shit over and over and over. 

    Its frustrating, enraging, and depressing. And Im just emotionally done.

    Except in this analogy, you're moving from Chicago to Rockford to Aurora and you dont understand why its still cold. And when people tell you to move to fucking Florida you claim that wont work and dismiss the idea of warm weather entirely.

    IMO people that resort to those androids are emotionally lazy. Why even have someone/something around if you're not going to give in emotionally? Droids are a safe alternative to the complexity of real relationships. I mean...would you go buy robot friends?

    Its a last resort for people so desperate for human contact, but unable to obtain it. The kind of people who unironically attatch to AI usually dont have friends.
