The difference is that I'm not even trying anymore, I know it's pointless. She instigated the conversation with me, all I did was answer whatever she asked me. The reason i didn't answer her last question is because "yes" or "no" wouldn't be 100% completely truthfully.

I think the only possible outcomes at this point are either A: We remain goof friends who casually talk on occasion. Or B: Don't ever see/talk to her at all anymore.
I mean, you're not completely wrong when it comes to dating/hook up culture. But you only see it one way. Which makes the subject hard to discuss. There's people out there that fuel your views on the matter, but there's also people that go against your views. And if being happy is wrong..than wtf? I mean, really? Everyone knows what they can and cannot take/handle when it comes to something. If dating people and trying to find that someone to share your life with isn't for you, don't do it. If it is, go for it. But looking at everything negatively and with a "I'm right, everyone's wrong" mentality doesn't help anything. At least imo
Just had a similar conversation with my mom. She understands me, but thinks Im wrong. Turned into an argument for a little. She cried for a little. Regardless, Im not changing my views on the subject.
Me and my cousin were talking about our problems at school. He has anxiety problems, I have depression problems. He brought up girls, asking if I had any luck recently. That caused our discussion.
My mom asked what we were talking about. I told her. Spurred second discussion.
I know I talk about this almost daily on here, but IRL I never talk about it. Ive had maybe 2 conversations with my mom about it total (outside today), and had brief discussions only a few times with some friends. I really dont talk about it much IRL.
The majority of my conversations are music and videogame related, or pertain to whats going on in my life. Secondary conversations are anime/cartoons, comics, movies, and inside jokes.
