you forget he used to be a somewhat respectable member of this board...or so the legend says
He was/is a good drummer, idk why he just decided to quit playing.
Lost interest son. When rapping became the focus of my life, my interest in Drums slowly dwindled, because it became a mere hobby to me, rather than a focus. But you don't just lose that talent, I can still play, but meh. I wanna learn Piano now to make better beats.
Not really. Sometimes it is incorrectly labeled Melodeath simply because they were from Sweden at the same time that Dark Tranquility and In Flames were blazing this new genre.... But anyone who wants to label ATG melodeath is only doing so because of this very lose connection. I agree there is a hint of melodic to their music, but they are much much closer to just straight out death metal then they are to "melo death".

Yes they do... Although Cannibal and suffocation are more on the opposite end of the death metal spectrum. Id say they are closer to Death which also has a hint of melodic to their tunes. Death isnt melodeath either.
death is and always has been there own thing imo....traditional death metal sounds like suffocation not death.... at the gates is melodeath.. imo i never really considered Death to even be death metal..ive always kinda just put them in their own little genre

I dont consider ATG melodeath and you should really consider revising your opinion of this band. Go listen to "The Jesters Race, Then The Gallery, then Follow the Reaper, then Slaughter of the Soul.... and you tell me that album belongs with those 3

just because they are credited as being one of the 3 to invent the scene, doesnt make them apart of that scene. Really, you guys should stop getting your music facts from Wikipedia and start listening to the bands and form your own opinions.
