.....that's too bad. I thought they totally took the "space metal" idea and made it valid. the themes in holographic universe are epic and sweeping, w/o being corny. Pitch Black Progress is dark and has a futuristic feel to it, kind of where Fear Factory left off...idk, I just REALLY like these dudes. The new album, Dark Matter Dimensions is a little uncreative, and the original frontman left. They had to replace him with TWO new d00ds!.....oh yeah: "music is my everything".......lulz...

Arjen is a mastermind. Ayreon is his "flagship" project. With plenty of albums, all at least an hour. They are all Metal/Rock Operas (except Actual fantasy) and most of them are science fiction. He gets guest singers and musicians that are prominent in the metal scene to play characters. Some of my favourites: Hansi Kursch Devin Townsend Bruce Dickinson Fabio Lione Mikael Aederfeldt And many many many more
