    Monetizing the news has been half the damn problem though. It becomes a quest for ratings and ad dollars rather than being about the actual journalism itself... If it bleeds it leads. If you really wanted to do it though, maybe imposing fines for errant journalism, or forcing big media to share the ad dollars with their credited news sources. But even doing that just opens a whole new can of worms. Some people may hesitate to run a breaking story or give people the latest info if they had to worry about big ramifications if the news was bad, and other people would just try to figure out how to cash in on it somehow.

    I know dude. Anytime something terrible happens to a child, I can't help but imagine my kid being in that situation. Sad fact is though, that little kids die all the time dude. It's very sad and tragic, yet it doesn't mean authorities should be setting suspects on fire, or shooting first and asking questions later. It might suck in this case, but if I had the same car as you and ran a kid over, and the cops questioned you, you might be thankful you had a chance to put your side of the story out there.

    I'm also a big fan of prison rape for scumbags :))
