Wouldn't doubt it if he didn't. I know BTBAM hated ozzfest when they did it, so I'll never expect to see them on Mayhem. Especially since they'd only play like 2-3 songs. Most actual prog (read: NOT DJENT) bands aren't a good fit for Mayhem anyways. I'll just hope that Mayhem gets back to getting a couple of sludge bands and dips more into thrash/groove like Battlecross rather than metalcore bullshit.
I think my biggest problem with the last couple years is the shift in genre they went towards as far as side stage bands go. They've always had mediocre bands on the bill, but the first few years at least they were tolerable bands like Chimaira or Airbourne or whatever. But when its shit like Asking Alexandria or Miss May I, I cant even muster up one ounce of interest.
That's always kind of been there though. The first year they had Underoath, 2010 they had Atreyu, Norma Jean and stuff. The only year I think it was significantly drastic was 2012, where the only band on the side stages that wasn't some sort of -core was Anthrax.
they played at like 915 in the morning or some shit, maybe 10. I remember it was pretty early. my friend and his dad picked me up, so theres no way I would have seen their set had I driven myself.
thats what I liked about ozzfest though. early set times and no bullshit between. better bands too. maybe a radio promotion here and there and a number of major sponsors around, but nothing close to mayhem imo. mayhem is a thousand times more commercial I feel.

but I think the year before would have been amazing, especially at the time
04 was easily the best. Sabbath, Judas Priest, and Slayer all in a row. Plus Slipknot, Hatebreed, and Lamb Of God on the sidestage. Shit got cray.
Looking at the lineups, Mayhem is basically the same thing. I don't get it.
