its also going to punish POS employers like mcdonalds who don't offer insurance to it's employee's
Your McD's sucks then. They offer a shit load of insurance down here lol.
My mcd is owned by the cheapest son of a bitch I've ever seen. Some of our equipment is older than one of our managers

I don't know anything about this stuff.. do you think this will get rid of Medicaid, and force people to pay for their insurance that they can't afford? lol

When I hit the time limit that it took to buy health insurance from my employer, I got told "Oh we only do it for managers". Problem solved, Shane got management. Then when he asked about it, "Oh well, we don't know if the owner wants to put in his share and pay for the paperwork to get done to give you it."

I am in complete and 100% agreement that everyone should be entitled to affordable healthcare and that we absolutely need healthcare reform. What I disagree with is that this bill did not address the cancer of the problem, but actually makes it worse by mandating that people buy into a really shitty system.

FACT - If someone has an operation in the USA, and they have great medical coverage (like Bluecroos PPO) they are still required to pay like 15-20% of the cost. Lets just assume that 20% expense for operation X is 800 dollars to the patient. If you go over to other countries that same operation might cost 80 total cost. So why is it that an operation that costs less then 100 dollars elsewhere costs 10,000 dollars here? It's fucked up.

I dont have all the answers. I dont know how to fix the problem... but I know a big part of teh problem is our legal system, predatory insurance companies, and the bureaucracy we've created over the last 100 years. Do I agree that it should be a little more expensive here because we have better doctors and better equipment? Absolutely. But 100 times the amount it should cost??? Get the fuck out.

Romney taking the podium to give his reaction.

Says he will act to repeal Obamacare if he is president.

Really surprised this was not overturned.

I wonder if I can open a restaurant and then get the government to mandate that people must eat dinner at my place or pay a hefty tax fine. That would be really good for both the government and me.

"Only about 6 percent of the population will actually be required to buy health insurance or face a tax under the mandate, since most people already have coverage or will get it through Medicare, according to the Urban Institute."
