I don't hate it by any means, though it's not my favorite. But when i hear songs like 'What Doesn't Die'...for whatever reason, it just doesn't feel like Anthrax to me. If that makes any sense.
Conversely though, Only, Packaged Rebellion, Black Lodge, Safe Home, Anyplace But Here and the title track from W.C.F.Y.A. are tits. And Charlie played some of his best ever on Nobody Knows Anything. The drums were so sick.
Room For One More and Invisible though. I think they played Only a few times live after Joey returned to the band.
Yeah Only and Safe Home were the only two Bush era ones that carried over for a while but once Joey was back permanently they dropped both. He only sang then on the specialty/reunion shows
Just getting home from Radiohead. Such a great show. Can finally check them off my bucket list.

Meant to say this awhile ago, but holy fuck King Gizard and The Lizard Wizard. You guys know how much aussie dick I sucked when it came to Tame Impala and Pond and all things Perth psych, but my first KG show blew them away. They took the throne for me. The best part is, where Tame and Pond have decided to go head first into pop on their new releases, KG have only gotten heavier the past couple releases. They released straight flower power a couple years ago and now they're releasing legitimate metal. Dudes absolutely crush it live. I would have bought a ticket for the next night in Cleveland if it wasn't sold out everywhere. It physically pains me not knowing when I will see them again.
Gemini Syndrome were meh. Never felt so indifferent on any other band ever.
Avatar by far stole the show. First time seeing them and they blew away expectations. They're the first band since SOAD where i find myself thinking "Damn, I've never heard/seen anything like this band before". I'm not so much into their older industrial shit, but their last two are bangers.
Motionless In White had the most goddamn retarded lighting ever, but of course they turned on the white lights after the 3 songs were up. They also butchered a cover of Chop Suey.
In This Moment were god awful music wise, but fairly interesting to photograph. I don't understand the Maria Brink hype.
I dug their last couple albums, and i figured they'd be fun to photograph. But they completely blew away any expectations. Their riffs are kinda SOAD and Meshuggah-ish at times live. I also can't remember ever seeing a frontman command a crowd like he does , not counting the bands who play stadiums.
