You can check out our review of this year's WTRV fest, as well as our interviews with Lacuna Coil, Hellyeah, Smile Empty Soul, Monster Truck, Twelve Foot Ninja, Nothing More and Chiodos.
Nothing More blew me away opening for Chevelle a couple weeks ago. Made me an instant fan. I haven't seen Staind in five years and I've still not seen Alter Bridge.... :-<
Some random band wearing masks playing repetitive songs went up first, they were entertaining.
Did some shots with Ron from Downtown Brown and talked them up to my friend who hadn't seen them yet.
A band actually booked for childrens shows was up and yeah we just went in back and smoked, my friend brought his bowl in and nobody gave a fuck haha.
Walked in just in time to be blown away by DTB. First time being really drunk at a show. I see why people do it now, it's fucking awesome. Wish they would have had a longer set but it is what it is.
Peelander Z comes on and my friend who is far more fucked up than I is nowhere to be found. Peelander themselves were a major let down. They went from a 5 piece band of japanese people to just Peelander Yellow, Peelander Pink who does nothing but wave signs and some white guy on drums. No bass, no dude in a squid suit. No human bowling. None of the fun shenanigans the first time I saw them other than giving people dog food bowls and drumsticks. I straight up dropped Yellow. He pulled me up on stage and I had no idea what was going on. Turns out he was going to jump on my shoulders. He tried and fell, then promptly pushed me off the stage haha After the show I find my friend who as it turns out was getting into a deep conversation about fatherhood and alcoholism in the DTB van

Alter Bridge as I said in the review are not a crazy live band, but they have a very intimate set.
Nothing More and Monster Truck were my favorite interviews by far, super cool, down to each people.

Ever listen to them?
There's like 2 Iowa dates....
I've heard like one song.
Definitely check them out, they're a cool bluesy rock n' roll band from Ontario. Super cool dudes.
