It depends on who you ask. I've been a fan since 2004, so I'm partial to their first album. But Sound of Madness is so powerful, but then again, so is Leave A Whisper and Us and Them. Here's a slight taste of a song off of each album:
"Better Version" off of Leave a Whisper (my favorite SD song period)
My Mom's the same lol. Back in January, there was a chance that I wouldn't be able to see Behemoth, and I was just begging like a baby 'cause I needed to see them lol, and she was like "Why does it matter anyways? You saw them at Mayhem once, I don't see why you need to see them again. I saw Black Sabbath once when I was younger, I don't NEED to see them again.".
And I don't get why she likes heavy Metallica (As in ...AJFA, MoP, RTL, KEA.) but likes absolutely NO other heavy ass Metal. Even Slayer, she calls it "that screaming shit". Old Slayer and Metallica are similar.
I fail to see how old slayer and metallica are similar. Yes they are similar but that's like comparing War Ensemble and Angel of Death to Enter Sandman and Blackened. Many people I know like metallica but not slayer because slayer is too heavy for them

The differences between a song like Motorbreath and War Ensemble aren't huge.

Yea this. Old Metallica is heavy as Hell. Especially ...AJFA. Specifically Blackened, Dyer's Eve, Etc. Dyer's Eve is arguably heavier then War Ensemble even.
Metallica has a heavier sound/production and plays (most of) their songs slower. Slayer is more GRR PLAY IT FASTER SO WE CAN FUCK THEIR FACES OFF. The heaviest Met song is not Dyer's Eve, however. It is The Frayed Ends Of Sanity.
TUPAC IS DEAD/THE LEGEND IS GONE/THEY SAYIN TUPAC'S BACK?/DEM NIGGAS WRONG

id go with damage inc for their heaviest....btw 170 more posts and no reviews such bull shit
Anyway, it is time for Shinedown to make a new album. I think they've milked this album for as long as they possibly can. Hopefully they will work on something new next year and do another Carnival of Madness tour over the summer to support it.
And Ed, Shinedown has only three CDs, it won't take a ton of your time to just listen to all of them.

And yes, I understand we'll have yet another debate about this
