BTBAM is much better than those three, but the best ever? Nah. You know better. You've seen Foo Fighters and Iron Maiden.
How can a band (Foo Fighters), be one of the best live bands ever, when they don't have any good songs? :-/

Swedish thrash/death metal band Carnal Forge has disbanded indefinitely. Bass player Lars Linden has issued the following:

"Since all the members have chosen to drop off Carnal Forge due to different reasons to work on new projects, CF will take a pause and the band will be put on ice for an unspecified time. I don't know if there will ever be another CF album or if we'll play live again. I sure do hope so and will work for it, but only the future will tell. Thanks for all of the support through good times and bad times since 1997. See you out there some day somewhere somehow or see you all in hell!"

Formed in 1997, the band has released material with Century Media Records and Candlelight Records, among others.

    lol.....................

David Vincent, frontman with iconic death metal veterans Morbid Angel, has commented onto the less-than savoury reactions of many Angel fans at controversial new album ‘Illud Divinum Insanus’.

Morbid Angel frontman David Vincent has responded to the somewhat negative reactions that many longtime Angel fans have had towards this year’s ‘Illud Divinum Insanus’.

“I still think it’s a great record,” he told Metal Storm. “And I stand by that. And other people just need to… They’ll figure it out. A lot of them actually have, which… That’s also a good thing.”

Morbid Angel recently played a select few UK dates after ripping Bloodstock a new one earlier this year, and have also announced a new remix album for release in early 2012.

They're a pretty good alternative rock band IMO. They've got some sweet tunes.

Texas heavy rockers DROWNING POOL have parted ways with vocalist Ryan McCombs.

A member of DROWNING POOL since 2006, McCombs replaced singer Jason Jones, who joined the band following the tragic passing of Dave Williams.

Ryan recently rejoined his former bandmates in SOIL for a tour of the U.K. that featured a setlist comprised of select cuts from the "Scars" and "Re.de.fine" albums, along with a song from the debut "Throttle Junkies" release.

Commented DROWNING POOL guitarist C.J. Pierce: "We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers... maybe we suffer from reverse 'lead singer's disease.'

"Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again.

"We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve." He went on to say, "We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors."

Probably not relevant to many other people's interests, but:

NORTHER Vocalist Launches ASXX - Nov. 26, 2011
Finnish multi-instrumentalist Aleksi Sihvonen (NORTHER, MEDICATED, ex-IMPERANON) has launched a brand new project called ASXX. According to a posting on the band's Facebook page, "The idea behind ASXX is simple: A piece of music is composed. Then a drummer who was chosen to play that particular song lays down the drum tracks and Aleksi does the rest. That's it."

ASXX's first three songs — "Corroded", "Hidden" and "Escape" — can be streamed below.

    Featured drummers:

    * Jaakko Nylund (on the song "Corrodeda')
    * Aki Hopeasaari (on the song "Hidden")
    * Waltteri Väyrynen (on the song "Escape")
