It was one of those shows I hated growing up because it was "boring." Then when I was a little older, I hated it because I had to wait for it to be done for new Family Guy lol my friend group loves it and I started watching it here and there and really appreciated the humor. Then it became meme gold and I watched a little more and learned to appreciate it. So I've probably seen a little less than a third of the show over time. Said fuck it, just finished Season 3 and the show is gold so far. So many little jokes that work so well and all the characters aside from maybe Peggy are fantastic (don't hate her, she just does nothing for me).
Just started Season 4 of King Of The Hill. I know the show is famous for the dry wit and humor rooted in everyday shit but they have some hilarious visual gags too. Season 3 cliffhanger was Peggy crashing to earth after sky diving and her parachute not deploying. Season 4 premieres with them wheeling her into the hospital and her emergency chute popping open ) shit killed me. Also any episode with Cotton in it is automatic gold
Finished Rings Of Power. Wasn’t even gonna watch it but ended up doing so cause why not. I never been a huge LOTR fan, matter fact I jus saw the trilogy for the first time ever at the beginning of this year while I was down and out wit COVID. So wit that said, Rings Of Power is the most I’ve enjoyed LOTR anything other than video games. When I saw the trilogy this year, I honestly thought they were nothing special, and didn’t age the greatest. And especially wit this being a prequel, I really had no interest which is why I originally wasn’t gonna watch it. But the insanely high production value alone is why it worked so much better this time around. Like I’ve said before in reference to Star Wars, fantasy shit like this whether it’s Star Wars, DC/Marvel, LOTR, etc., the CGI and presentation as a whole are extremely important for believability’s sake. So the same thing applies to a world that has such a deep lore as Middle Earth does. This is the most believable it’s ever looked, and visually the show is straight up jaw dropping and one of the most gorgeous shows/movies I’ve ever seen, which adds a LOT to the entire viewing experience. Episode 6 alone is the most dark and menacing Sauron’s Army has ever been presented, accurately depicting how serious these wars and battles were, something I don’t think the trilogy did that well, again limited by their time.
TL;DR: Shit was fire. Everybody mad is jus fanboys that can’t stop sucking nostalgia cock.

Stopped reading there.
Didn't age the greatest? My brother in christ, its universally praised for sticking to the source material. It won multiple academy awards for set and costume design as well as original score and best picture. I know the Academy means dick usually but nerd movies never win shit like that and that's how amazing the LOTR trilogy was. I don't think we would have modern motion capture like we do if it wasn't for the CGI team and Andy Serkis performance as Gollum.
Yeah what Jake said. I haven't seen Rings Of Power so I have nothing to say on that but you lost me with "didn't age the greatest." Those films still look fantastic and better than the Hobbit Trilogy lol
Dude, they shipped Galadriel and Sauron, made Sauron an angry incel, made Mithril the source of the Elves light, had the Elves forge the Three Rings before Sauron forged the nine for the humans and seven for dwarves, had ringwraiths before the rings were even made, made the Numenorians inept idiots, introduced Hobbits before they even existed in Middle Earth, introduced a Balrog waking centuries before they are supposed to, and completely butchered the lore of the Silmarils. It's about as anti-Tolkien of a show as you could possibly have made.
I dont give a fuck about Amazon's billion dollar tumblr fanfic bullshit show, sorry

About to finish Season 12 and move on to the last season. Can't believe this show still produces bangers. The seasons do have some boring episodes starting at like season 9 but they don't really have bad episodes. Also I don't know how to feel about Lucky. How does everyone whos watched the show feel about Lucky?
Damn episode 1 of last of us was real good. I enjoyed the changes they made as well and the 1 to 1 shots from game to show were really good too. High hopes for the rest of the season.

>battles consist of like 45 guys fighting 45 guys
>entire Numenorian army fits on ONE BOAT
>CGI repeats people in a crowd of like 50 people
The Jackson movies had thousand people armies at a fraction of the budget, with worse CGI technology decades ago. But yea, keep suckin Bezos cock
Shit was gas, die mad. 💯💯
I haven't seen the originals in 10 years but those movies are great.
The amount of outrage today would be hilarious
I'm a pretty casual LOTR fan
Thought it was straight trash, especially compared to House of the Dragon
