Wheel of Time drops tomorrow. I’ve been avoiding early reviews for the most part. Seems like everyone wants to compare it to Game of Thrones, but it’s not really the best comparison. Middle Earth may be a better comparison, but even that isn’t all that accurate. Anyone going into it expecting it to be GOT is in for some disappointment. No doubt the book readers are gonna shed some nerd tears as well, I can already tell I’m gonna HATE some parts of it, but I’m hoping it’s a good ride overall. The nature of the story looking into how stories become legends that become myths and even myths fade over time lends itself pretty well to being able to separate the books from the show. The books were one turning of the wheel of time. The show is another. The wheel of time has turned before and it will turn again. There and neither beginnings or endings to The Wheel of Time, but tomorrow is A beginning.

What do you think so far? I haven’t started it yet
I’m 50/50 on it. They’ve made some changes to the main characters and their core values that I don’t really like. They have also sped up the pacing of events quite a bit. Other parts they nailed and I was really happy with. A lot of it is kind of hard to translate from book to screen.
Doesn’t really seem like the type of thing MU would be watching but it’s prolly the best show on TV right now and yesterday’s episode definitely solidified that. Most uncomfortable thing I seen in a WHILE.
I actually rewatched Sons somewhat recently and alot of stuff that I hated when I originally watched it, I really enjoyed this time around. Actually wound up loving season 1-5. 6 and 7 are definitely not great but not as bad as I remember.
I would say not yet but Season 4 is gonna decide that. It starts off pretty slow, has quite a few of the kurt sutter tropes we all love and get annoyed by lol season 1 is still decent. Season 2 gets pretty good and the show starts to really find some footing, even if there's still a plot thread or two that no one gave a fuck about. Season 3 however (Sutter got canned by Disney end of Season 2 and Elgin James takes over) is fucking dope. Literally hyped the entire time. I have some nit picks with it but it was such a fun ride. So it Literally gets better as you go and if 4 continues to build on what 3 started and fixes some stuff, I think it'll be a contender with some of Sons' best stuff.

Yeah my girl made me watch last week and it’s pretty good. That episode of Rue was definitely uncomfortable and real impactful.
