Jarome Iginla has agreed to a one-year, $6 million contract with the Boston Bruins, TSN reports. Irony.

So I keep seeing commercials with the owner (I think) of the blue jackets talking about how they will do whatever it takes to win and with moving to the east it will be more exciting. Trying to bring in fans I guess. To the people that really follow hockey will they actually be any good?
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
They had a really good second half of the year and barely missed the playoffs last season. They'll probably be in the mix for a playoff spot again with a full year of Gaborik and Bobrovsky and the addition of Horton. That being said their new division is a very tough one.
BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins have signed restricted free-agent goalie Tuukka Rask to an eight-year contract worth $56 million, the team announced Wednesday.
Rask's salary is worth an annual cap figure of $7 million.
New Jersey Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk on Thursday announced his retirement from the NHL.
"This decision was something I have thought about for a long time going back to the lockout and spending the year in Russia," Kovalchuk said in a statement released by the team. "Though I decided to return this past season, Lou [Lamoriello, general manager] was aware of my desire to go back home and have my family there with me. The most difficult thing for me is to leave the New Jersey Devils, a great organization that I have a lot of respect for, and our fans that have been great to me."
"After many conversations with Ilya over the past year on his desire to retire from the National Hockey League, Ilya's decision became official today," Lamoriello said in a statement. "On behalf of the entire organization, I wish Ilya and his family all the best in their future endeavors."
The Bruins and Patrice Bergeron agreed on an eight-year, $52 million contract, one that starts in the 2014-15 season will keep him with the team through 2021-22.

Two home games against them is plenty. Frankly I'm tired of hearing about them. I'm more excited about playing teams like Boston and Washington more often.
