That doesn't mean they don't have enough room for either Suter or Parise or both. Not to mention there is more than one way to clear cap room or fit under the cap.

No shit the Wings are desperate, you would be too if you lost your 3 best defensemen in 2 years time. He's not Lidstrom-level and no one is, but he's pretty damn good. Better than a lot of people give him credit for because of the hype Shea Weber gets.
