hey lose the 4 draft picks, yeah it sucks, but Weber is a proven NHL #1 defensemen, you dont know what youre going to get in the draft. We have a shitton of guys under 25. And a young team that could use a 27 year old Norris trophy runner up. Weber would get $26M in one calendar yr, NSH would be forking over 16% of entire franchise net worth ($163M in '11 accd to Forbes) to match offer. Either way, Nashville is fucked. Flyers missed the playoffs once in the last 20 years. They dont get high pics, and when we did get JVR, he turned out to be sort of a bust. Like I said, you never know what a draft pick is going to give you, Weber is a boss.
Nashville will match it, but these stupid decade plus contracts will hurt your flyers terribly in a few years. you tihnk Bryz isnt worth that kind of money now, just wait a few more years when hes older, slower and still taking the same cap hit.
Bryz stepped his game up against the Devils. He played in shitty Phoniex and shitty Anaheim. He wasnt used to the pressure of Philly, now he has a year under his belt, he will be better.
