new rise against song basically continues the direction they were headed with appeal to reason. aka progessively more towards radio rock. like he said before, good song, not great. i like the verses alot, i thought the song had real potential but then the chorus was blah. they couldve had a chorus more like the old rise against which i think wouldve been better. if you were teaching someone what "selling out" was and how bands get more mainstream show them the rise against discography. lol

I agree. The first single from the last album really kicked you in the teeth. This one doesn't so much, but I like it overall. It's catchy enough. I'm expecting the rest of the album to be heavier and angrier though, I have my hopes up....
Swedish Viking metalles AMON AMARTH will release their eighth studio album, "Surtur Rising", in North America on March 29 via Metal Blade Records. Named in tribute to Surtur, leader of the fire giants of Muspelheim ("flame land") and the oldest being in the nine worlds of Norse mythology, the record, which was listed among Decibel magazine's most anticipated albums of 2011, features 10 tracks of sword-wielding, fist-pumping, hyper climactic battle anthems. The follow-up to 2008's monolithic "Twilight Of The Thunder God" full-length was recorded again at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden with Jens Bogren and features strikingly brutal cover art by Tom Thiel.

Swedish/German extreme metallers ARCH ENEMY have set "Khaos Legions" as the title of their new album, due in May via Century Media Records. The CD is currently being recorded at Sweet Spot Studio in the south of Sweden with engineer Rickard Bengtsson (who produced 2005's "Doomsday Machine").
Vocalist Myke Terry has announced his departure from BURY YOUR DEAD. The band, on hiatus since last April, recently began work on a new album, with the group's previous frontman, Mat Bruso, assuming lead vocal duties. A late 2011 release via Mediaskare Records is expected.
