Chuck, I don't think anybody here is saying that "breakdown = bad", it's just Erik trying to deny certain genres or labels stamped on certain bands and songs that he denies to be a part of instead of just going with it.

Yes, they are overused in Deathcore, but they originated in HARDCORE and DEATH METAL Music, not Deathcore. And Hardcore and Death Metal, are not Scene.
