Really excited for this new EP I’m dropping soon-ish. Opening track has a full blown chug chug Metal breakdown done wit all clean vocals and I love how seamless I integrated it into my regular sound. I offset the extreme switch-up by making it extremely trippy and spacey to fit my usual sound instead of pure heaviness and crunch. Will be polarizing for sure cause I know most of the mfs that actually actively listen to me don’t listen to a lick of Metal or Rock, but it was some of the most fun I’ve had making music in a minute cause figuring out how to properly do it was like a puzzle and I loved every minute of the process. At this point doing it for 10+ years I’m jus tryna make different shit that challenges me. I literally might contact this producer about doing some kind of exclusive deal on a project because he perfectly blends that Trip Hop/Dark RnB sound wit heavy elements exactly like I want and I feel like it could lead to an absolute goldmine.
A kid I went to high school with who's in my friend group cuz he lived with them in college has been trying to take off making sad boi edm and hiring vocalists for his songs and shit, he has a few million streams if I'm not mistaken. He added "metal" to one of the tracks on his last EP and he sent it to me really excited but I didn't have the heart to say it just sounded like brokencyde to me

I would never classify this as pure Metal tho. It’s still my usual RnB/dark Trap type sound but wit a Metal breakdown worked into it. Hybrid for sure but I’m not suddenly a Metal artist lmao.
