Incorrect. Most unemployment money comes from payroll taxes his employer pays while he was employed. The gov stimulus however did increase those payments and that money comes from the general tax revenue... Erik though (id guess) is hardly contributing to that tax revenue. In the USA we have a graduated tax system where those making near minimum wage pay almost no taxes... some even have the feds paying them with the right forms of deductions

Been officially hired by the regional flatbed company that I wanted to work for ever since I was going to NETTTS, orientation isn't until June 22nd though. Hyped nonetheless. Will probably need to do another physical and drug test but don't foresee any problems.
The recruiter joked that I had the biggest gap in conversations he's ever had with someone who wound up getting hired. I initially started talking to him/applying in August of last year before taking my sweet ass time with the CDL and then trying to go with Stevens.
