Tbh I defend RDR2 to the death but it's not for everyone. If you're bored by westerns, it's gonna be boring, because it's essentially an interactive western. I'm all about immersion, and the game came out right when I was on a break from work, so I just smoked and played it constantly.
I can agree with that. I picked it up right before I went to Indianapolis for five weeks to get my CDL. So it was class, then Red Dead then weekend with no one to hang out with in Indy so more Red Dead lol
Jumped the gun on RDR2. Shit is amazing. What I said stands, it DOES have extreme pacing issues and you have to be very patient to get into the meat of the game and really appreciate it for what it is. But fuck when you do, that shit is brilliant. Still way too slow and for that alone it’s not a perfect game imo, but yea this shit is still a home run.

I've played through it a couple times. I still need to continue the extra shit on my original save. But this guy doesn't know shit and he also thinks he's hilarious. "What's that? Is that a dog? Oh he attacked me. *hahaha* Can I kill it?" He also doesn't know how to cook shit. And with the apparatus shrines he just makes me want to put my head through a wall more than when I come across those shrines (because they're annoying af). He's irritating to watch play other games too (Spiderman, Yoshi, SM Odyssey, etc).
That being said my favorite thing about BotW is all this shit I can endlessly explore. Especially ruined Hyrule Castle. Part of me wishes they'd release a DLC that you can play with Zelda going through Hyrule helping people after the defeat of Ganon
